Touch, and the memory of being touched, can be both empowering and traumatic. There is touch that can be nurturing, comforting, loving, pleasurable, and so on, and then there is touch that is clearly not wanted. Emma Krenzer, a 19-year-old student has made waves with her art project, creating a map showing the lasting impact of human touch. It is a commentary on the prevalence of sexual assault, while simultaneously being a documentation of touches of affection, intimacy and love.
