Have you ever been the only ‘different’ one in a sea of people who look (and are) the same? Have you wondered whether you should change yourself to fit in – to assimilate into that sameness – or whether you should hold on to your uniqueness? In Pixar’s short film Purl, a pink ball of yarn – a stand-in for anyone who’s ‘different’ – is faced with this dilemma in a workplace context (the analogy would work in other contexts as well).
