Traditional patriarchal Indian homes often have invisible boundaries demarcating gendered spaces. Juice, a short film by Neeraj Ghaywan, explores this very idea through the lens of a house party. On the surface it seems like a regular gathering, but soon enough through strategic silence and subtle gestures, we see how gender inequality and sexual repression function within the home.
