Asia Safe Abortion Partnership (ASAP Asia)

This organisation works “to promote, protect and advance women’s sexual and reproductive rights and health in Asia, by promoting access to comprehensive safe abortion services and by reducing unsafe abortion and its complications.” They provide answers to common questions about abortion, as well as information about the status of abortion in different countries and links to external resources.

AVERT: AIDS & HIV Education and Research Trust

AVERT is an international AIDS charity based in the U.K that provides information on HIV and AIDS education, prevention, testing, and treatment. It also has resources for professionals who want to know more about the global status of HIV and AIDS. It has several projects such as Be in the KNOW, Boost, Be in the know Zambia, Youth Boost, Young Voices, Eagle.

Boondh is a social enterprise working on Sustainable Menstrual Products, Menstrual Literacy, Advocacy, Policy and Programming. They conduct outreach work through workshops, each designed and contextualised to suit the specific audience group. They believe strongly in the power of safe, non-judgemental spaces, experience sharing and active listening.

Fertility Dost is an India-based website that has information and resources for people experiencing infertility. Hear what the experts have to say, read true stories, check out the discussion forum, read the blog, or submit a question for expert review. It helps couples identify and navigate infertility, by offering medical care, nutrition therapy, lifestyle coaching and doctor support.

Hidden Pockets collective for the last 6 years have been using various forms of digital tools to educate young people and advocate for policy changes around sexual and reproductive health.

Infertility Resources

This website provides extensive infertility information including: in vitro fertilisation (IVF), GIFT, ZIFT, TET, ICSI, infertility clinics, donor egg and surrogacy services, and infertility legal services. The website is US-based and provides resources for consumers as well as for professionals.

International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF)

In the South Asian region, IPPF works with nine members – Afghanistan, India, Pakistan, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Iran, Maldives and Sri Lanka. IPPF works in the Arab world, Africa, East and SouthEast Asia and Oceania, Europe and Central Asia, South Asia, Americas and the Caribbean. IPPF works to provide help, advice, services and supplies relating to aspects of sexual and reproductive health..The organisation works towards “providing locally relevant services in the context of extreme poverty, gender inequity, restrictive laws, socio-religious barriers, and vulnerability to natural calamities.” The “News” and “Resources” section provides the latest information regarding SRHR.

Naz Foundation

The Naz Foundation Trust has been “working on HIV/AIDS and sexual health issues since 1994.” The organisation is based in Delhi and provides “prevention, treatment & advocacy programmes for underserved populations.” These include a care home for orphaned children living with HIV, capacity building and training workshops for individuals and organisations working on “HIV/AIDS”, providing counselling, outreach, medical treatment and legal services to the LGBT community. It runs The Young People’s Initiative (YPI) to promote and facilitate sport and life skills in adolescent girls(now envisages the LGBTQIA community) between the ages 12 to 21 years.

Our Bodies Ourselves

This site, based on the book Our Bodies, Ourselves, provides “accurate, evidence-based information and resources on sexuality and reproductive health.” They provide resources on nine core topic areas: Contraception & Abortion, Gender-based Violence, Growing Older, Heart Health, Menstruation through Menopause, Mental Health, Pregnancy & Childbirth, Sexual Anatomy, and Sexuality, with new topics to be added in the future.

Planned Parenthood

This US-based organisation provides accurate and extensive information on sexual and reproductive health, with sections on abortion, general health, cancer, relationships and more. They also have resources specifically for teens, parents and educators.

SAATHII (A variety of South Asian languages & English)

SAATHII is an organisation which “envisions universal access to rights, health, legal and social services for communities marginalised on account of HIV status, gender and/or sexuality.” The site has many resources in terms of case studies, reports, publications, blog, FAQs. They conduct various research and implement programmes on topics ranging from HIV to LGBTQIA+ community development to increase information dissemination and resource accessibility in India.

SAMA Resource Group

Sama is a Delhi-based resource group which works on issues related to women and health through training, building capacity , research, advocacy and knowledge creation . The ‘Publications’ page provides information on policies and reports on women and health.

SNEHA (Hindi & English)

SNEHA is a Mumbai-based NGOworking on women and children’s health, as well as gender-based violence. Their website has information on child sexual abuse, domestic violence and rape and sexual assault, including definitions, Indian law, how to get help and more.

UNAIDS
